TAYLOR, WILLIAM - William (Bill) Wallace Taylor, 94, of Salisbury, passed away at the Moncton Hospital Monday, July 16, 2012. Born in Salisbury, he was a son of the late Charles W. and Ida (Smith) Taylor. Bill was a retired shipper from No. 5 Supply & Services. He was a member and choir member of the Salisbury United Church and was also a member of the Gospel Men's Chorus. Bill belonged to the Monday Morning Merry Makers, he was an avid music lover and loved to play his guitar. He was the oldest member of the Salisbury Legion Branch No. 31 and a veteran of World War II, serving with the N.B. Rangers. He is survived by his daughter, Sandra Sim with whom he resided; grandchildren, Sarah Herring, John Emond, Ian Sim and Ellen Sim; and six great-grandchildren. Bill is predeceased by his former wife, Aleen O'Blenis; brother, Roscoe; and grandson David Emond.
Resting at Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Tuesday, July 17 from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral will be held in the funeral home chapel Wednesday, July 18 at 1:30 pm with Rev. Dan Compton officiating. Interment at Pine Hill Cemetery.
