Wayne Hoeg, 69 years, passed away tragically on New Year’s Day 2010, with his beloved dog Bailey.
Wayne was born and raised in Joggins, Nova Scotia. He moved to Ontario as a young man where he met his wife Susan, a member of the Chippewas of Georgina Island.
Wayne maintained a close connection with his hometown of Joggins, and visited family and friends there frequently.
Wayne leaves behind his wife, Susan; his daughters, Lauri Williamson (Scott), Shannon Crate (Terry); son Jesse; grandchildren, Shannah, Hayley and Dallas Williamson, and Meadow and Mia Crate. He is survived by his mother Ruby Brown and sisters, Dolores Good, Heather Stasila, Donna Husovic (Bob), Gloria Hoeg, and Sherry Holditch. Also remembered by Mother in law, Mary Bradley and her son Mark Bradley (Giselle); and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends; pre-deceased by his father Alfred Hoeg.
A service will be held on Saturday, January 9, 2010 at 4 pm at Knox United Church in Sutton, Ontario.
In remembrance of Wayne and his love of dogs, contributions can be made to the Humane Society.
