Christopher Michael Morris – 58, of Brooklyn, Hants County, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2012 at home following a five year battle with cancer. Born in Chilliwack, BC he was a son of the late Cecil and Agnes (Morrall) Morris. He loved his family, especially being a Dad. Christopher had been a courier for 35 years and most recently worked for Dynamex Courier. He played softball in the Dartmouth Mixed Slow-pitch League for 25 years with the Spazmatics. He enjoyed driving, gardening, lumberjacking, baseball, varied and loud music, fixing stuff (his own particular way), barbecuing, and different kinds of beer. Survived by his wife the former Lynn Marie Weaver; a daughter Amanda, Ottawa, ON.; four sisters, Carol Corney, Amherst; Victoria McIvor, New Minas; Betty (Mike) Murphy, Bedford; Angela (Fred) Keddy, Arlington, Texas, USA; and a brother Richard (Ann), Middle Sackville. He was predeceased by a sister Catherine. Cremation has taken place under the direction of the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville. No flowers by request. An informal memorial service and reception was held from 2-4 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2012 in the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 9, Windsor.
