Pictou, Audrey Ann - 67, Millbrook First Nations, finished her journey on this earth on January 6, 2010 and was escorted to heaven by her Guardian Angel. Audrey passed away at Cedarstone Enhanced Care Nursing Home where she was loved by all the staff and was treated with great respect. Audrey was a member of Millbrook First Nations and was a Shubenacadie Residential School Survivor. The family thanks all the staff at the nursing home and Dr. Barrry Wheeler. She is survived by her brother, Robert Leonard Pictou, Millbrook; special cousin, Billy Pictou, Debert; her guardian and cousin, Clara Gloade, Millbrook. Audrey will be forever remembered by her uncles, aunties, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by mother, Bella Pictou and grandmothers, Susan Gloade, Mary Ann Pictou; sister Connie (Kevin) Burton; her special parents, Charles and Annie Jane Gloade whom she considered as her parents. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 1-4 pm and Friday from 6-9 pm, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 10;30 am in Sacred Heart Church, Millbrook. Interment in Sacred Heart Church Cemetery, Millbrook. Donations in her memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Nova Scotia, Canadian Cancer Research Fund, a charity of choice or to the Millbrook Youth Club - This club works with elders by visiting them and teaches our youth how to deal with drug abuse and domestic violence.
