In Loving Memory of Shirley-Mae Lovonne Hank 1935-2008 It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece and friend, Shirley Hank on August 6, 2008 at the age of 73 years. Shirley will be forever missed and loved by her husband Ray, daughter Roxanne, son Darren (Bonnie), her cherished grandchildren Cole and Khassidy, step grandchildren: Taylor and Tanner Kerr, her brother Ernie (Eva) Anderson and their family, aunt Elsie Reber, as well as many brothers and sisters in law, nieces, nephews and friends throughout B.C. and Alberta. She was predeceased by her parents Hilding and Dorothy Anderson. Shirley was born in Hardisty, Alberta on February 22, 1935 where she was raised and schooled. After graduation, she moved to Edmonton where she met the love of her life Ray Hank. They were married in Grande Prairie, AB in 1960. Shirley and Ray moved their family to Kamloops in 1966 where together, they founded N&H Contracting in 1971. They moved to Paul Lake where they raised their family and enjoyed their lives and retirement with their children living next to them. Shirley will always be remembered for her selfless commitment to all those around her. She always wore a smile and her presence alone would brighten anyone’s day. Shirley was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. She loved all animals that crossed her path and will be missed by her four legged friends: Tiger, Lucy and Carly. Shirley was a proud member of the Ladies Shrine Auxillary. A special thank you to Betty Cahoose and family who became her support, friends and confidant over the last year. Also, her dear friends Diana and Norman Kopec, and the many friends too numerous to mention, you are always in our thoughts.
