CLOUGH On August 31, 2008, Mr. Ian Leonard Clough of Kamloops passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the age of 74 years. Ian is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Evelyn, three children; Cheryl (Jeff) Wiley of Pitt Meadows, Dwayne (Michelle) of Swan Hills, AB. and Matt of Kamloops. He also leaves to cherish his memory three grandchildren; Sydney Wiley and Shelly and Scott Clough, his one sister Janet Goodreds of New Zealand and numerous nieces and nephews in New Zealand and Canada. Ian was predeceased by his brother Allan and his grandson Jesse. Ian was born in Inglewood, New Zealand on December 24, 1933 and came to Canada in 1960. He apprenticed and received his papers as a licensed mechanic in New Zealand. It was Ian’s desire to travel that brought him to Canada where his trade took him to many interesting and remote locations. After briefly returning to New Zealand with Evelyn in 1966, they settled at Douglas Lake Ranch where they raised their family. He was a longstanding member of the Kamloops Vintage Car Club and an active volunteer with the Kamloops Historical Railway Society. Ian was a very kind and gentle man who will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Pastor Don Maione will conduct the memorial service in the Schoening Funeral Chapel on Friday, September 5, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. If friends desire, donations to the Kamloops Hospice Society, 72 Whiteshield Crescent.
