BOWLAND, JANE - It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jane Bowland (Black) of St. Martins. Jane was a lifelong resident of St. Martins and was married to Ralph Bowland (predeceased) for over 50 years. Jane was also predeceased by her parents Greta Black (Amelia) and Bertrand Greer (Mom & Dad), a daughter Cynthia, and her cousin Nancy Scott (Peter). Jane is survived and will be sadly missed by her sons Randy (Sheryl), Tony and Keith (Tammy) as well as granddaughters; Jenna (Stephen) Beaulieu, Natalie and Rebecca along with her great grandsons Jackson, Dawson, and Sawyer. As well, Jane leaves many grieving nieces and nephews, sisters and brothers-in-law to mourn her untimely death. Being a very private individual, Jane concentrated most of her time with home related activities and family, devoting her time to her young great grandchildren whom she adored. She did enjoy travelling with her daughter-in-law Sheryl and granddaughter Jenna as well as her friend Sheila and sister-in-law Clytie on various occasions, returning with many stories which she regaled upon her return. Jane was always available for her family and neighbours who were treated to many unexpected gastronomic treats. Her kindness and generosity will always be remembered by all who knew her. She had an immense amount of pride in her grandchildren and their accomplishments. Jane will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral home 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424). By the request of Jane’s family there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family interment will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff in the ICU units of the Saint John Regional Hospital who tried valiantly to bring Jane though to a full recovery.
