March 10, 1955 - July 22, 2012. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Ann Maureen Chidley (nee Kennedy) of Renews, age 57, in the presence of her loving family and friends. After a year long battle with cancer, Ann passed away at the Leonard A. Miller Centre, Palliative Care Unit, after being transferred from the Health Sciences Centre. Predeceased by her parents James and Shirley Kennedy, nephews: Aiden and Jeffrey O’Driscoll, father-in-law James Chidley, special friends: Paul Johnson and Lillian Kennedy. Leaving to mourn her loving and devoted husband of 37 years, Gerard Chidley; daughter Linda Chidley Boland; son Gerard Chidley Jr. (Krista); grandchildren: Abigail Boland, Liam, Luke and Alexa Chidley; mother-in-law and special friend Angela Chidley; sisters: Theresa O’Driscoll (Albert), Donna Carey (Paddy), Irene Hutchings (Loyola), and brothers: Bobby Kennedy (Katherine), Jimmy Kennedy (Deja), Michael Kennedy (Margie), David Kennedy (Penny), Ricky Kennedy (Kay), and Wade Kennedy (Karen); brothers and sisters-in-law: Leroy Chidley, Clarence Chidley, Jim Chidley Jr. (Evelyn), David Chidley (Teresa), Paul Chidley (Rose), Paula Johnson, and Dianne Hartery (Andy); lifelong friends: Marlene Walsh, Irene Duggan, Janice Walsh, Linda Purchase, Karen Kenny, Tom and Sandy Fennelly, and George and Janet Symes; special friends: Heather Chidley, Michael Hartery, Christopher Boland, Morgan Chidley, Fred and Linda Williams, and Sharon, Doreen, John, Jamie and Gerri Lynn; uncles: John Kennedy (Winnie), Gerald Kennedy (Jean), Bert Kennedy (Helen deceased) and Gerard Williams (Lillian); aunts: Maureen Bourne (Hubert), Lillian Williams and Lucy Williams. She is also survived by a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you make a donation to the H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Clinic or the NL Autism Society in Ann’s memory. Remains resting at Fahey’s Funeral Home, Fermeuse. Visitation on Monday, July 23 from 2-9 p.m. and Tuesday, July 24 from 2-9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial on Wednesday, July 24 at 10 a.m. at Holy Apostles Church, Renews.
