Geddes, Kathleen I. (MacLeod) – 81, Bible Hill passed away July 20, 2012 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in The Falls, she was a daughter of the late Willie John and Sadie (Haymen) MacLeod. Kay was married for 48 years to her late husband, Ralph Geddes. She retired from Zellers in 1991, after 14 years. She was a member of St. James Presbyterian Church, Truro. She enjoyed walking, gardening and loved Monday morning bowling. Kay is survived by daughters, Debbie Fraser and husband Bill, Lower Truro, Donna Martell, Truro, Janice Geddes, Truro, Joanne Bonin and husband Stephen, Hilden, Sandy Veal and husband Wayne, East Mountain; her grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Ami Martell-Crawley, Jolee Martell, Marley McKinnon, Chelsea and Courtney Veal, Brandon and Scott Bonin; great grandson, Alec Crawley; sisters, Christine Morrow and Helen Loughead, both of Truro; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Ralph; brother, Harold MacLeod; son-in-law, Billy Martell; brothers-in-law, Robbie Morrow and Parkie Loughead; niece, Joy Heather Loughead. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Palliative Care Unit at the Aberdeen Hospital for the wonderful care shown to their mother. No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 25 at 10:00 a.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Pastor Jacquie Ross officiating.
