Bernice Burroughs (Edwards) 1944 - 2008 Passed away peacefully after a long fight with cancer. Survived by her beloved husband, Howard; her loving mother, Jessie Edwards; daughter, Christine (Shane) Bilodeau; her special twin grandchildren, Nathan and Danielle Bilodeau; son, Russell Empey; aunt Sheila Relf (Jack) and many nieces and nephews and five step-children, Patrick, Jo-Anne Bezeau, Kevin, Diana Jackson and Jared Burroughs. Born in Victoria and attended Quadra School and Victoria High, then moved to Prince George and worked for B.C. Telephone in Kamloops until she retired and moved back to Victoria. Bernice and Howard spent many winters in Palm Springs until ill health forced her to stay in Victoria. She never complained and always had a smile on her face. Our grateful thanks go to Dr. Souliere and the team at the Cancer Clinic. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Cancer Clinic. A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 6th, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from First Memorial Funeral Services, 4725 Falaise Drive, Victoria
