Frances May Fraser The family of May Fraser wishes to announce the passing of their mother on October 14, 2008. May was born on February 3, 1912 at Botha, Alberta to Joe and Ethel Hininger, the second of their children. In 1920, the family moved to Langley. In 1929 May went to Normal School, and subsequently taught at Otter, Long Lake, Chase, Adams Lake and Kamloops. In 1931 she married Bill Fraser and they raised four children. She is survived by her sister Alice Derksen, son Don of Vernon and three daughters, Shirley Cumberland of Salmon Arm, Barbara Wicklund and son-in-law Peter of Oliver and Jean Sellers of Maple Ridge. She is predeceased by her sister Edna, brother Herbert and grandson Michael. The family wishes to thank niece Lyn Holborn and the staff of Renaissance Retirement Residence and Overlander Hospital for all the extra care to our mother. She has been a strength in our family and support to us all. We will miss her. Reverend Bruce Comrie will conduct the Memorial Service in the Schoening Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Flowers gratefully declined.
