In Loving Memory Ernest Robert Thomas Coughtrey Ernest Coughtrey passed away peacefully in Royal Inland Hospital on October 22, 2008 at the age of 81 years. He was a loving husband, father, uncle, grandfather, great grand father and brother. Ernest is survived by his loving wife Barbara of 56 years, sons: Pat (Rachelle) and Murray (Connie), daughter Tracy. He was predeceased by his son Gregg in 2007. Ernest is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He retired from CNR after 29 years as a locomotive engineer. Born in London, Ontario, Ernest moved with his family to the lower mainland in B.C. where he met his loving wife. Their early days were spent in Prince George, B.C. and then settling in Kamloops, where he lived out his life. Ernest was a member of the Moose Lodge in Kamloops and spent many years coaching in Kamloops Minor Hockey. A Celebration of Ernest’s Life will be held at the Salvation Army Community Church, 344 Poplar Street, on November 8, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. The family requests that any expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Ernest. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Personal Alternative Funeral Services. (250)554-2324
