Willis, James Edward - 77, of Young Street, Truro, passed away January 5, 2010 in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax after a short bout with cancer. Born in Truro, he as a son of the late Isaac and Blanche (Stoutley) Willis. He was known far and wide as the owner-operator of Jim’s Light Trucking for over 43 years. Jim made a friend of everyone he met. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Theresa; sons, James M. (Kim Colburn), Onslow Mountain, Steven (Kathy), of Onslow and Truro, Jason, at home; daughters, Coleen Mapp, Halifax, Theresa “Terry Lynn” (Kevin) Jackson, Beechville, Sandra Finney (Derrick Hennessey), Truro; grandchildren, Stefanie (Chad) Willis-Howse, Matthew (Michelle) Willis, both of Edmonton, Alberta, Kristopher Mapp, Halifax, Jarrett Mapp, C.F.B. Halifax, Nicole Jackson, Beechville, Stacey Willis (Teddy Ashe), Greenfield, Marcy Willis (Gerry Maloney), Stewiacke, Mitchell Willis (Kandie), C.F.B. Petawawa, Tanner and Taylor Murphy, Portapique; great-grandchildren, Login, Keilin, Ethan, Chase, Grayson and Jacara; brother, John, Truro; foster brother, Leroy (Beverly) McCready; sister, Bessie McCready. He was predeceased by brothers, Isaac, Merle and Ralph; sisters, Eula Nicolas, Helen McLaurin and Blanche Chase; grandson, Jeffery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 10th from 7-9 pm. with a celebration of Jim’s life on Monday, January 11th at 2:00 pm, both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro with Rev.
