FOWLIE 1918-2008 Barry (Bud) Alport Fowlie passed away peacefully in his sleep, Tuesday, November 18th in Vancouver. Lovingly remembered by his son Barry (Wendy) of Fanny Bay; son Brent (Kaete) of Kamloops; grandson Ryan Palethorpe of N. Vancouver and granddaughter Ashley Kirkwood of Coquitlam. He was predeceased by his daughter Carol and former wife Ruth. Born in Medicine Hat, AB, and raised in Gull Lake, Sask, Barry raised his family in Creston, BC. In the 50's & 60's he served on the school board and was President of the Board of Trade there. He moved to Kamloops in 1965 and was acclaimed president of the Chamber of Commerce in 1967. Barry had a career in real estate in Creston and Kamloops where he started Fowlie Nicholson Real Estate along with being a notary public. After retirement Barry pursued two lifelong pleasures, golf & music. Throughout his life Barry joined many bands and played with an accompanist around the lower mainland for decades. He would wish to be remembered as a gentleman and a musician
