SAMUEL (Sammy) POZZOBON 1927 - 2008 On Tuesday, December 16, 2008, Sammy passed away at home after losing his battle with cancer. His family was by his side. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife Lillian of 52 1/2 years, daughter Cheryl (Kelly), sons Keith (Kelli), Kevin (Bonnie), grandchildren, Tannis, Denny, Travis, Mandy, Ashley, Lindsey, Kelsy and Alana. Brothers, Mackie (Rita), Freedy (Jean), Marino (Joni), Lloyd, and numerous nephews and nieces. Predeceased by sister Maria, nephews Robbie, Jaye and niece Lynn. Sammy was born in Kamloops and lived his entire life in the Pemberton Range and Pritchard area. He was always a cowboy, entering his first rodeo at Falkland when he was 15. In 2005 at the age of 78 Sammy competed in his final Rodeo at Pritchard. He received his gold card from the CRCA in 1972. Sammy during his life ranched and logged but always identified himself first as a rodeo cowboy. A celebration of life will be held in Sammy’s honour on Monday, December 22, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chase Community Hall. Reverend Bob Crosby officiating.
