SHAW October 18, 1917 ~ January 18, 2009 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dorothy May Shaw of Kamloops on January 18, 2009 in the Royal Inland Hospital at the age of 91 years. Born on October 18, 1917 in Kamloops Royal Inland Hospital. Survived by Fred (Marsha), their children Randy and Janelle; Ken (Diana), their children Ashley and Braelyn; and Joyce Racicot (Richard), their children Kathryn, Christine, and Andrew; and ten great-grandchildren, twin brother Richard Lawrence of Prince George, and sister Beatrice Skapple of Florida, their families and many dear relatives and friends. She was predeceased by husband John (Jack) Shaw in 2000. Dorothys parents homesteaded in the Heffley Creek area in the early 1900s which is where she grew up. She owned a restaurant in Kamloops during the war and married Jack in 1942. They lived in Brocklehurst and Noble Creek before moving to Westsyde in 1952 where she lived until her passing. Her last place of residence was at the Hamlets of Westsyde, where she had many friends.
