BOYKO On Thursday, January 22, 2009 Mrs. Maxine Jean Boyko passed away at the age of 86 years. She is survived by her daughter Mrs. Bonnie Boule of Savona, her grandson Matthew Boule and numerous nieces and nephews. Maxine was predeceased by her husband John and her brothers Don Cooper and Bill Cooper. She was born January 7, 1923 in Midale, Saskatchewan and graduated from school in Orkney, Saskatchewan. Then, Maxine moved with her parents to Deadman’s Creek, where they operated a cattle ranch. She worked at the Circle W Fishing & Hunting Lodge for a number of years, and had made her home in Savona since 1963. Maxine enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing, her garden and flowers and she also had a love for cats. Thanks to Dr. Sigalet, the staff at The Hamlets and her special friend Margaret Jones for all the care that was given to mom. A Celebration of Maxine's life will be held on Monday, January 26, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. at the Savona Community Church at St. Hilda's with Pastor Dan Hines officiating.
