The death occurred peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home on Thursday, December 11, 2008, of Mr. Derald Floyde MacKenzie of Stratford, aged 80 years. Beloved husband of Jeanne Gauthier-MacKenzie (nee Lund). Dear father of Millicent (Joe Wood) MacKenzie, Donald (Rosemary); stepfather of Michelle (Dave) Beaman, John Gauthier, Peter (Vanessa) Gauthier, Vincent (Sherri) Gauthier. Derald is also fondly remembered by his grandchildren Edison Wood, Morgan and Mark MacKenzie; step grandchildren Megan, Jillian and Parker Deighan, Jen, Ryan and Michael Beaman, Nicholas, Hannah Gauthier, Shaelynn Gauthier, Carson and Renee Gauthier; his brother and sister Dr. Elmer (Lois) MacKenzie and Minnie MacKay. He was predeceased by his first wife Jean MacKenzie (nee MacMillan), parents Floyd and Cora MacKenzie and infant brother Kevin MacKenzie. Resting at the Cutcliffe Funeral Home, from where visiting hours will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., then transferred on Saturday to Trinity United Church for visiting hours from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. The funeral will be held on Saturday at Trinity United Church at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in the family plot in Clifton United Church Cemetery.
