Formerly of Port Elizabeth, Placentia Bay. Passed peacefully away on January 6th, 2010 at the Health Sciences Complex, John Clyde Butler, age 83 years. Predeceased by parents Hedley and Bella Butler, step-daughter Geraldine Kavanagh and sister Meta Twizzel. Left with fond and loving memories are wife Blanche; sons: Ken (Daphne), Wayne (Joan), Glenn (Kim), Hedley (Jeanette); daughter Glenda (Reginald); step-daughter Dorothy (Frank); step-son Bert (Paula) and step-son-in-law John; sisters: Mavis (Bruce), Florence and brother Albert (Martha); twenty-two grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives, extended family and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Thursday, January 7th, 2010 from 7 - 9 p.m. and on Friday, January 8th, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place from St. James United Church on Saturday, January 9th, 2010 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Mt.
