On Sunday, February 15th, 2009, Mr. Fiore Porco of Kamloops passed away at the age of 77 years, with his family by his side. Predeceased by his mom and dad, Emilio and Angela Porco, Fiore is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mafalda, his children, Angela, Silvana and Ivana (Dan Baudin), and his grandson Michael. Fiore also leaves his brothers Bruno (Rosanna) Porco and Settimio (Betty) Porco, his sisters in Italy Assunta (Decimino) Posteraro and Milana (Michele) Posteraro; his sisters and brothers-in-law: Anna and Gabriele Mazzotta, Iolanda and Antonio Palermo, Franca and Aurelio Cinel, Antonietta and Serafino Sartori, Joe and Joanne Mazzotta, and Ector and Pat Mazzotta, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Fiore was born on December 18th, 1931 in Lago, Cosenza, Italy. In 1956 he came to Kamloops where he has since resided. Fiore retired from the City of Kamloops in 1992. The Reverend Father Derrick Cameron will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Cathedral, 3rd Avenue and Nicola Street, on Wednesday, February 18th at 11:00 A.M.
