DERKSEN;On Thursday, February 19, 2009 Mr. Ralph (Rubin) Derksen of Kamloops passed away peacefully after a short illness with his family by his side. He is survived by his best friend, Helene Mansfield and his three sons Lloyd of Wyoming, USA, Calvin of Chilliwack and Paul of Kamloops. Also left to cherish his memory are seven grandchildren, his brother Harvey Derksen, his sister Ruth Hartmann and numerous nieces and nephews. Ralph was predeceased by his wife Colleen, his mother and father Maria and Abraham Derksen. He was born March 20, 1936 in Sardis, B.C. Ralph was a long time employee (27 years) with the City of Kamloops as a Heavy Duty Mechanic. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 25th, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Schoening Funeral Chapel with Pastor Don Maione officiating.
