It is with deepest sadness that the family of Ave McIntyre, age 46 announce her sudden passing on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at her home in New Waterford.
Born in Glace Bay she was the daughter of the late Tommie and Elizabeth (Murphy) McIntyre. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Bridgeport. Ave obtained her C.N.A. certification and also, Pharmacy Technician. Ave was a member of the Kinettes. She enjoyed making crafts. Ave was a people person and a friend to all that knew her. She leaves behind many friends who loved her dearly.
Left to mourn are her two sons, Tyler and Brandon (Chantal) Prince; sisters, Mae (Mike) McIntyre, Pictou, Rhonda (Robert) Wilson, Glace Bay; brother, Dave (Val) McIntyre, Antigonish and special friend and companion, Harvey MacCormack. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews.
Visitation for Ave will be held Saturday night only from 6-9 p.m. at V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. A funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Monday at Immaculate Conception Church, Bridgeport with Fr. Daniel Boudreau officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. A reception will follow in the church hall.
