The death of Peter McDonald occurred on Friday, July 27, 2012, at Harbourstone Enhanced Care, Sydney.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Frank and Mary (MacKinnon) McDonald.
Peter was a teacher at MacDonald High, Dominion and a former member of Lingan Country Club.
He is survived by his sister, Catherine LaPrairie, Stouville, Ont; brother, Francis, Glace Bay.
Besides his parents, Peter was predeceased by his wife, Joan (MacIntyre) and brother, Michael Aloysius.
There is no visitation. A funeral mass celebrating Peter’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 31, at 2 p.m. The service will take place at Immaculate Conception Church, Bridgeport, with the Rev. Daniel Boudreau officiating. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery.
