HUBBARD, Joseph “Adolphe” – 97, of Amirault’s Hill, passed away July 26, 2012 in the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born October 4, 1914, Adolphe was the son of the late Remi and Delphine (Doucette) Hubbard. He is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn (Muise) Hubbard; children, Geraldine (Walter) Queenan, Florida; Verly (Clarence) Warner, Abram’s River; Ralph (Eileen) Hubbard, Amirault’s Hill; Elmer (Mildred) Hubbard, Amirault’s Hill; siblings, Linda Burke, Sluice Point; Delphine Doucette, Little River Harbour; Mildred Doucette, Yarmouth; Celeste Dastous, Hamilton, Ont.; 7 grand children; 11 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren. Adolphe was predeceased by his siblings, Paul, Louie, Raymond, John, Bernard, Alvin and Leslie in infancy, Helen Muise and Zita Moulaison; 6 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Homes Ltd., 29 Albert St., Yarmouth. A visitation took place from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, July 29 at the funeral home in Yarmouth, with prayers at 8 p.m. A funeral mass was held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday in the Holy Family Catholic Church, Amirault’s Hill, Father Maurice Leblanc officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery. Family flowers only. Memorial donations in Adolphe’s memory may be made to the Victorian Order of Nurses, Yarmouth Branch. Adolphe leaves behind a loving family devoted to his memory. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
