Margaret Josephine Capstick ‘Josie’ has peacefully passed away Jan. 8, 2010, at Buchanan Memorial Hospital, Neil’s Harbour.
Born May 4, 1919, in Lowlands Cove, Inverness County, to Peter MacKinnon and Mary Ellen (Fraser) MacKinnon.
She lived out her life in Dingwall and was a member of St. Joseph’s parish.
She is survived by her children, sons, Claude, Clarence, Lester and Francis; daughters, Viola, Aldona, Sylvia, Diane, Mary and Wanda; 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
Josie was predeceased by her husband, John Michael Capstick, sisters, Christina, Mary Flora, Sarah Ann and Catherine, brothers, John , Murdock, Alexander and Peter.
We would like to extend out heartfelt thanks to the nursing staff and doctors K. Murray and B. Buffett for the wonderful care you provided to Josie during her illness.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held one hour before funeral service in the Egan Room in St. Joseph’s Church, Dingwall. Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12 in St. Joseph’s Church with Rev. Dan MacDonald officiating. Burial in the parish cemetery beside her husband.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the North of Smokey Palliative Care at Buchanan Memorial Hospital.
