It is with great sadness that the family of the late Kay Elford announce her passing on Saturday, January 9th, 2010 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital at the age of 85 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children: Joan Benoit (Michael), Lourdes, Port au Port, William (Carol), Corner Brook, Eric (Grace), Mary Elford and Marina Elford, all residing in Curling; as well leaving to mourn are a very large circle of grandchildren, great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by her husband: William Sr. in 1987 and daughter: Jean in 1996. Friends and family may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 218 Curling Street on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, January 11th at 10:30 a.m. from Sacred Heart Parish, Curling. Father Bernard Buckle officiating. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation or to The Children’s Wish Foundation.
