EVELYN GILL Born Evelyn Louise Kidd, passed away quietly Monday, March 9, 2009 in Royal Inland Hospital after complications with cancer surrounded by her family. Evelyn was born on November 14, 1935 in New Westminster, B.C. Raised in Vancouver where she met and married her husband William Gill in 1955. She moved to Barriere in the spring of 1981 with her family and settled in Dixon Valley, then to Kamloops in 1998. Her family was the focus of her life raising her three boys as a full-time housewife and taking pride in their lives and accomplishments. Her husband Bill of 53 years and her three sons Ed, Rob and Dave, will forever miss her, as well as her daughters-in-law Karen and Wanda, her grandchildren Ryan, Amanda, Nicole and Dustin, her recent great grandchildren Nicolas and Katie, and her brother Lenard. A gathering of family and friends will take place at the Gill's home, #68 - 2401 Ord Road, Kamloops, B.C. (Brock Estates) on Saturday, March 14th from 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. The family wishes to thank the nursing staff of 6 South, Dr. Gorman, Dr. Maclaren and all the doctors who helped mom during her illness
