LaVerne Carey

CAREY, LaVerne Howard – 67, Millet, Alberta, passed away May 29, 2012, in Alberta. He was born on November 21, 1944 in Berwick, the son of the late Howard Glenn Carey and Frances Gertrude (Turner) Carey of Kingston, Kings County, NS. Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Patricia (Sullivan) Carey, Millet, Alberta; his former wife, Helen (Robar) Woodsworth, and their two daughters, Dianne Carey (Jo Remedios) and Melissa Carey, both of Vancouver, British Columbia; and three young grandchildren, Benjamin Carey, Alexandra Remedios and Jordan Carey. Also step daughters, Janelle and Tammy Goulding, and step-granddaughter, Shylo Goulding, all of Millet, Alberta; brothers, Glenn (Bernadette) Carey, Pleasantville; Robert (Brigid) Carey, Bridgewater; Wayne (Gail) Carey, Melvern Square; Wendell (Bunny) Carey, Sebec, Maine; sisters, Bernice (Robert) Corkum, Auburndale; Joan (Waldon) Banks, Meadowvale; Valerie Carey (Gerald Ryerson), Halifax; Linda (William) Reese, Nictaux; Bonnah Carey, Fort McMurray, Alberta; Debra Carey, Wilmot. LaVerne was cremated and his ashes buried in the Nictaux Cemetery, Nictaux, Annapolis County, NS.
