Yorke Ladner Chirgwin, 98, of Sydney Mines, passed away on Jan. 10, 2010, at the MacGillivary Guest Home, Sydney.
Born in Sydney Mines, he was the son of the late William Ladner Chirgwin and Fanny (Frances) Barrington.
He was a lifelong member of Trinity Anglican Church, Sydney Mines.
He worked at CN in the Round House, also hauled coal was self-employed auto mechanic until he retired in 1976.
Survived by his special niece, Nina Parker, Kempt Head; and nephews, Josh (Valerie) Lynch, North Sydney, Benn, Adam Kilburn, Edmonton.
Predeceased by his sister, Mary Parker (John).
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at later date.
