Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, January 10, 2010, of Mr. Harry Wakelin of West Royalty, age 78 years.
Beloved husband of Stella (nee Ford) Wakelin and dear father of Darlene Wakelin, Janette (Laurie) Paquet, Judy (Chris) Hucz, Cindy (Norman) Birt, Kent (Jeanette) Wakelin and Shawn (Patricia) Wakelin. He is also survived by six loving grandchildren, Alicia and Jillian Birt, Chad and Cory Paquet, Emily and Sarah Wakelin; brother, Raymond \"Bud\" (Matilda) Wakelin; sister, Joyce Maye (Austin, deceased); brothers-in-law, John Matheson and Rollie Ford; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents, Raymond and Eva (Bryenton) Wakelin; sisters, Ruby (George) Jay and Elsie Matheson.
Resting at the Cutcliffe Funeral Home from where the funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Thursday at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in the family plot at Sherwood Cemetery.
If so desired, memorial contributions in Harry’s memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
