Judith “Judy” Marie Brown, age 62, of Brooklyn, Hants County, passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2012, at the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, surrounded by her loving family. Born on March 8, 1950, in Windsor, Hants County, Nova Scotia, she is the daughter of Harleigh L. Archibald of Windsor, and the late Nellie Mae (Hines) Archibald. Judy was a former employee at the Kings Meadows Residence Society, as a counselor. Garry was the love of her life and best friend, they always lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed their many rides on the motorcycle as well as traveling all over the world. She will be remembered for her kind heart and her willingness to always put others first. Her grandchildren were the sparkle in her eye and some of the happiest times were spent with them telling stories, playing games and their famous cuddle times. There will forever be an ache in their hearts. Judy is survived by her husband of 42 years, Garry Robert Brown; her children, Kirby (Amanda) Brown, Newport Corner; Julie (Mark) Woodman, Three Mile Plains; grandchildren, Zackery and Chelsea Woodman; Evan Brown; Kyla and Tara Densmore; her father, Harleigh L. Archibald, Windsor; brothers, Wayne (Kathy) Archibald, St. Croix; Stephen Archibald in British Columbia; Jeff Archibald, Dartmouth. She was predeceased by her mother, Nellie Mae (Hines) Archibald (January 21, 2003). Visitation was 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. A family graveside service was held at the Ste. Croix Cemetery, Cemetery Road, St. Croix, followed by a public reception at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 9, 2012, at the Brooklyn Civic Centre, Highway 215, Brooklyn.
