IGNACE, GREGORY BOYD (1939 - 2009) On Wednesday, August 19, 2009, Gregory Boyd Ignace of Skeetchestn, B.C. passed away at the age of seventy years. Greg was born at Skeetchestn Indian Reserve on February 18, 1939 and lived in Skeetchestn much of his life. He was a hard worker and spent his younger years working in logging, mills and picking fruit. In the Secwepemc Nation he was known as a skilled hunter and fisherman, and he knew the trails and mountains of the area like few others. Greg was pre-deceased by his great-grandparents Julienne and Edward Eneas, his parents Francis and Melanie (Paul) Ignace, and his sisters Lizzy, Cathy, Edith, Nellie, Vera, Myrtle, his brothers Eric and Edward, and his grandson Marcus. He is survived by his sisters Winnie Denham, Mona Jules, Margaret Joseph, and his sons Carl Simon (Debbie), Willie Jules, his step-son Robert Simon (Marie), and his daughter Vivian Simon (Randy). He also leaves behind many nieces and newphews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all the people who generously supported us during the past nine days and helped us during this difficult time. Services will be held at the Skeetchestn Rec Centre on Saturday, August 29, 2009, at 11:00 a.m
