Lieu de décès : Colombie Britannique, Canada

Eveline Rose (nee Greenhalgh) born November 16, 1917, in Cheshire, England. Gone from us on August 14, 2009. Eve died suddenly as a result of a stroke. A lady always, Eve was beautiful, vivacious, intellectually engaged and lucky in love. Eve attended St. Martin School of Art in London, during the war worked as a secretary for the Air Ministry, kicked fire bombs from rooftops in the London Blitz, distributed bandages to soldiers and survived bombings in Bath. In 1950 she emigrated to Fort William with her husband, Ian, and her baby daughter, Janine. She and Ian spent many good years in Kamloops, where she started a film society, directed a few plays, occasionally taught drama and served as a school trustee. She and Ian eventually moved to Vancouver and after the death of Ian, she married Nelson Allen and went with him to Victoria. She loved gardening and theatre. She skied until she was in her seventies. At age 91 Eve still walked miles a day and read several books a week. She was deeply involved with her family and friends. She built a strong and close family. Eve was predeceased by her two brothers, Cyril and John, and by her husband, Ian Rose (1986) and her husband, Nelson Allen (2001). She was greatly loved and will be missed by her beloved sister, Maureen, her daughters, Janine (Laurence), Gabrielle (Hrothgar), Vicky (Paul), grandsons, Dashiell (Rachel and Eve's great-granddaughter, Natalie), Morgan (Lillian), Liam, Finn, extended family, Jason, Adele and Jayah, her many great friends, particularly, Tom Kerr, a friend of almost 50 years. Memorial Service and Reception to be held at Brock House, 3875 Point Grey Road, Vancouver, Sunday, October 4, 2009, 1:00 to 4:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the charity of your choice
