MUNDEN.On Wednesday, August 12, 2009 Mrs. Ethel Louise Munden passed away peacefully at Kamloops at the age of 87 years. She is survived by her sons Mike (Barb) of Cherry Creek and Jim (Linda) of Kamloops and her son-in-law Jim Strausz of Kamloops; six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and four step great grandchildren. Louise was predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years, Craig (January 25, 2009) and her loving daughter Pam (August 3, 2009). Louise was born February 13, 1922 in Mutual, Oklahoma, the youngest of twelve to the Ellis and Maudie Peach family. She met and married Craig in Los Angeles, California. She and Craig began their careers in the trucking industry, moving from L.A. to Bridgeport, Washington, then to Branson, Missouri. In 1957 they moved to Port McNeill to look after a contract hauling ore for Mannix. From there, to North Vancouver for two years before moving to Kamloops and onto the forest industry. Along the way they developed many friends through square dancing and travel. She will be missed by many! A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. in the Schoening Funeral Chapel with Reverend Terry Sauder officiating.
