Dr. "Bud" Yataro Paul Iwasaki passed away early on January 9, 2010.
He is survived by daughter: Dr. Laura Iwasaki; sisters: Shizue Hamaguchi, Kimie (Ed) Hori, Mitsu (Joe) Minamimaye; sister-in-law: Hatsue (Yosh) Yoshida; brothers-in-law: Fiko Konishi (Shirley) and Jenji (Joanne) Konishi; nieces and nephews.
Bud was predeceased by wife: Setsuko, sister: Mayko (Ervin) Keim, and brother: Minoru.
Bud was born in Steveston and lived his early days in Skeena until his father's passing and the consequences of WWII lead his family to Kamloops. Bud graduated from Kam High where he played "Red Devil" basketball. He attended UBC and U of AB. After graduation from dental school, he practiced in Peace River and then Kamloops for 5 and 46 years, respectively. Bud was devoted to dentistry, his patients, and learning. He also enjoyed fishing, golf, curling, reading, and local history.
