JOSEPH POZDZIK .Joe passed away on August 2, 2009 at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home in Kamloops, B.C. Joe was born March 19, 1926 in Lubren, Poland. His family immigrated to Canada in 1930 and settled into the Chip Lake area in Alberta. Later in life Joe moved to Merritt, B.C. for work where he then met his wife of 58 years, Liena, who sadly predeceased him in 2006. Joe is survived by his brother Vick Pozdzik and sister Jean Soloduka; his sons Joseph "Mickey" (Barb) Pozdzik of Kamloops, Danny Pozdzik of Kamloops; daughter Jeanie (Gerry) Paquette of Princeton; grandchildren Mark and Jennifer Paquette of Princeton and two great grandchildren Dylan and Nadine Paquette. Joe was predeceased by his three brothers, John, Frank and Eddy Pozdzik as well as his sister Mary Kizior. Joe will be sadly missed by his family and friends. There will be no formal service by Joe's request. The family requests that any expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home, 72 Whiteshield Crescent S., Kamloops, B.C. V2E 2S9.
