GEORGE EDWARD (TED) McMILLAN 1936 - 2009 Ted McMillan passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2009 after a lengthy illness. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 50 years, Winnie; his children Dale, Karl (Janice), Robin, and Garth (Ellen); his grandchildren Stephen, Justin, Emma, Quinn, Madelaine, and Isaac; his sisters Rowna Weys (Fred), Jean Faurholt (John) and Lynn Bell; and brothers Bernard (Georgia)and John (Claire). Ted was predeceased by his infant son, Darryl, his parents Jean McMillan and Ina McMillan (nee Smith) as well as his brother Ken. Ted was always up for a great story, whether it was about the latest book he’d read or a tale of growing up in Kamloops. His grandchildren, especially Isaac, will miss his “shaky” hugs that scared and delighted all at once. Although Ted’s passing will leave a large hole in our lives, we are thankful that our beloved husband, father and grandfather is at last at peace. Father Ononiwu will celebrate a Memorial Mass for Ted at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 7, 2009 at Sacred Heart Cathedral, downtown Kamloops. No flowers by request of the family; however, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be welcome. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Personal Alternative Funeral Services.
