TERRY BROCHU 1951 – 2009 Terry left us suddenly on Tuesday, July 7 to embrace a new adventure. He leaves behind his much loved family – sons Jeremy Brochu (Cheryl), Sheldon Young, step-son and daughter Kyle and Jenny Cruse, mother Dorothy Brochu, brother David Brochu (Leslie), sister Bonnie Brochu-Mansfield and the lights of his life grandsons Jacob and Russell. His nieces and nephews Christopher and Lindsay Brochu, Julie Kjorsvik and family, Ryan Mansfield and family and Jordan Mansfield grieve their loss. His love Sally Glen, his wide circle of friends, extended A.A. family and Katlind Paquette were so special to him. Terry was predeceased by his brothers Jamie and Russell, father Earle and wife Joanne. Terry‘s life was filled with laughter, excitement and love. He lived life on the edge seeking new adventures and friendships. Terry spent 20 years helping challenged and disadvantaged children supporting and encouraging their special talents. His gift of laughter and acceptance was his great strength in helping others. He was an incredibly talented musician and writer producing his first record in Masset, B.C. in 1979, followed by many CDs over the years. At the age of 37 he found a home with A.A. This gift extended his life by 21 years where he healed, loved and shared his gifts of laughter and caring. Terry’s gift of music brought many to his life’s journey. He had a light hearted view of life and was most happy when playing the guitar, riding his motorcycle, and soaking up the warm rays of the summer. Terry loved children and pets and was seldom seen without his favourite canine companion, Mary. Friends are invited to drop in and bid farewell at a viewing Friday, July 10, 2009, 5:00p.m. – 7:30p.m. at Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Drive, Kamloops B.C.
