IN LOVING MEMORY OF FENICE SPINA 1929-2009 On July 7, 2009 our beloved mother Fenice Spina passed away at the age of 80 years after a courageous battle with cancer with her husband and children at her side. She is survived by her loving husband Battista, her two daughters Maria (Frank) Bartucci, Adriana (Barry) Lord and two sons Ross (Christine) Spina and Tony Spina. She also leaves to cherish her memory six grandchildren, Rosie (James) Falco, Joe (Brandee) Bartucci, Tina, James, Andrew and Vanessa and three great grandchildren Frankie, Angela and Matteo; her sister Fortunata (Vincent) Spina, her brother David Marrello and numerous close nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Fenice was predeceased by her father and mother Francesco & Giusepina Marrello. Fenice was born January 20, 1929 in Grimaldi, Cosenza, Italy where she married the love of her life Battista. Fenice immigrated to Canada (Kamloops) with her two children Ross and Maria to join her husband and the rest of her family. Within a short time her other two children Adriana and Tony were born. Fenice's whole life revolved around her family whom she truly loved and adored. Her children and her grandchildren were truly the joy and love of her life. Mom's caring, giving, loving, kind and gentle spirit will be greatly missed. Mom's incredible strength and spirit was beyond belief and her strong faith in God gave her an incredible amount of courage. We will miss Mom's big heart and unconditional love. Rest in the arms of the Lord. Forever in our hearts, we will miss you Mom Prayers will be recited on Sunday, July 12, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. The Reverend Father Peter Nyguen will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial in the church on Monday, July 13, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow in Sage Valley Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers donations to the Kamloops Hospice Association, 72 Whiteshield Crescent South, Kamloops, B.C. V2E 2S9 in memory of Fenice would be appreciated.
