Emma was predeceased by her husband Giuseppe Veltri, her parents Rosaria and Pietro Turco, her brothers Angelo, Genio, Pasquale, Modesto, Ettore and sisters Ida and Ermalinda. Mom was born September 23, 1928 in Malito, Italy. She was the youngest of nine children and grew up on a farm. She met her husband Giuseppe in Italy and they were married on May 13, 1956. She travelled from Italy to Canada by boat. She then made her way across Canada from Halifax by train to Kamloops. She started her new life in Kamloops with dad and raised her two children. She loved cooking, baking and gardening and enjoyed sharing it with her family, friends and neighbours. Her greatest joy was when we all got together for family dinners and celebrations. Mom was a very loving, caring and kind person. Fly our precious Angel . The Lord has set you free . He has taken you to Heaven for all of eternity. Our hearts have been broken. Our tears they silently flow . But one day we'll be together . For God has told us so. Special thanks to Dr. Mabee for taking care of mom all these years. We would also like to thank Dr. Azad, Dr. Stein, Dr. Chevalier and all the nurses on 6 South for all the care they gave to mom. Thank you to the staff at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice for being there for mom and us during this difficult time. God bless you all.
