ROWAN, MARION L. - It is with great sadness that the family of Marion Rowan of Fredericton announce her death at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on August 18th, 2012. Born in Fredericton on February 28th, 1925, she was the wife of the late Leo H. Rowan. Marion leaves behind her son, Charles (Marilyn) Rowan of Fredericton; daughter, Patricia (Perley) Brewer of Fredericton; sisters, Phyllis Strang of Fredericton and Alice Jones of Moncton; grandchildren, David (Laura) Rowan, James Rowan (Desiree Harrison), Kimberly Brewer (James Rioux) and Andrew (Patricia) Brewer; great grandchildren, Rachel and Molly Rowan and Nicholas Brewer; sister in law, Betty Crowley of Fredericton; as well as nieces, nephews and their families. Marion was predeceased by her husband, Leo, in 2004; her parents, Arthur and Lillian (Billings) Crowley; and her brothers, Richard, Arthur and George Crowley.
Visitation will be held at McAdam's Funeral Home, 160 York St., on Tuesday, August 21st, 2012 from 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Dunstan's Catholic Church on Wednesday, August 22nd at 12 noon with Fr. Bill Brennan as Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations in Marion's memory can be made to the Diabetes Association, NB Heart and Stroke or the Canadian Cancer Society.
