PRICE, DONALD - It is with great sadness that his family announces the passing of Donald Price, loving husband of Yvonne, of New Bandon. His death occurred very peacefully at the Charlotte County Hospital in St-Stephen on Friday, August 17, 2012 at the age of 88. Donald was born on June 7, 1924 in Ludlow, NB to loving parents Alexander Price and Christine Elizabeth (Stewart) Price. He served overseas with the Army North Shore Regiment during World War II, serving in England, Scotland, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany. In his earlier years, he guided for his father. After his army service, he worked for Natural Resources, having studied at Forestry School. In later years, he worked for the Dupont Factory in Kingston and for security firms in Toronto. He was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge, Order of the Eastern Star and the Legion, Branch 78. Donald is survived by his devoted wife, Yvonne; daughter, Elizabeth; sister, Jessie McAleer; grandchildren, Barbie, Derrick, Stacey and Kirk, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Special mention must be made of Donald’s much loved animals, Angel and Maggie. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by daughter, Donna Larlee; his sister, Christina; brothers Milburn, Vincent, Aaron and Richard; infant sisters Melvina, Isabella and Janet Marie, as well as chosen sister and brother Noreen and Cole Parker.
In respect of Donald’s wishes, there will be a graveside service at St James The Greater Anglican Church Cemetery, Ludlow, on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at 11am with Father Brian Spence and Pastor Wade Bradford officiating. A reception will follow the service at the McNamee Recreation Center. For those who wish, donations made to the Fredericton SPCA or charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
