RYAN, WILLIAM PATRICK - January 30, 1929 - August 20, 2012 - Patrick Ryan passed away at Foothills hospital on August 20, 2012. Pat was the second eldest son of Helena (Higgins) Ryan and John Patrick Ryan and was born on the family homestead on Montgomery St in Fredericton, New Brunswick. An ardent student, Pat excelled in his studies and went on to pursue a degree in Geology at the University of NB. Soon after graduation, he left New Brunswick to pursue a career in Calgary, Alberta where he found satisfaction in working in the oil patch. Pat's simple mission in life was to live what he believed in and as such he became recognized as a carrier of enthusiasm while living a life with purpose. He can best be described by many as an individual whose life is unrepeatable, irreplaceable and worthy of respect because of the courtesy and kindness that set him apart and marked him as a person who brought qualities of soul to everyday life and work. Pat was predeceased his wife Sherry (nee Meagher) and is leaving behind his beloved children, Stacey (Harold) and Kenton (Sylvie), his grandchildren Sadler and Hudson as well as many family and friends. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brothers Frank, Ronald, Walter (Butch), and Charlie and his sister Mary Theresa. He is survived by his brother Jim of Fredericton, New Brunswick, sister-in-law Lois Ryan, Neva Ryan and Mary Ryan.
