It is with great sadness that the family of the late Julian Ricketts announce his passing on Monday, January 11th, 2010 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in his 89th year. Leaving to mourn his wife Clara; daughters: Emma (Wilf) Cassell, Mona Ricketts and Jean (Vernon) Cassell, sons: Ross (Glenys), David (Anne) Stuart (Florence) and Roger (Pam); 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Job Ricketts and Jacob Ricketts. Also a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents: Abraham and Elizabeth, sisters: Flossie Ricketts and Edith Pollard and brother Leonard Ricketts. Visitation will take place from the Anglican Church in Pollards Point on Thursday at 6 p.m. and Friday where also funeral services will take place on Saturday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dicks officiating. Interment to follow at the family plot in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Parsons Funeral Home and Chapel, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake.
