It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of our beloved Jim. Much loved husband of Lynne. Precious father of Michelle (Michel), Jody (Julien) and Andrew (Nicole). Grandfather to his precious five granddaughters Jessica, Sarah, Madison, Montana and Meaghan and great granddaughter Brooklynn. Loving brother of Barbara (Russ), Susan (Alison) and Debbie. Predeceased by his parents Alberta and Gerald and brother and Gerald. Brother of Orey and brother-in-law of Lillian and Gerry (Jeanne) and loved uncle of many nieces and nephews and his adored little buddy Gizmo. The family would like to give special thanks to the doctors and nurses of Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital and Hamilton General Hospital who all went above and beyond in their care of Jim. Also a special thank you to our precious Nicole who has given us amazing support and comfort though these past three weeks and also thank you to our special neighbours and friends for their kindness and support. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m., where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow.
