MARY OLYNYK August 4, 1918 - May 3, 2009 Long-time resident of Revelstoke, Mary passed away peacefully at Ridgeview Lodge in Kamloops at the age of 90. She is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years Fred, daughter Janine (Jim) Chambers, sons Ron (Susan) and Ken (Arlene), all of Kamloops, and son Jim (Joan) of West Vancouver, nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Mary was born on the farm seven miles south of Revelstoke. She spent her formative years there until she married Fred in 1939 at which time they settled in Revelstoke. In 1997 Mary and Fred relocated to Kamloops to be close to their family. Her life was a wonderful expression of love for family and she was known for her beautiful flower gardens and her delicious Ukrainian cooking and pies.
