Charles Douglas "Doug" Blackford November 1, 1944 - April 24, 2009 After a short but brave struggle with cancer, Doug passed away peacefully at the Cross Cancer Institute in Edmonton. He is loved and will be missed especially by his family: his wife, Sharon, his father, Charlie, his children, Scott and Leah, their spouses, Kathy and Ken, and his four grand-daughters, Caitrin, Eden, Alicia and Julia. Dad will also be remembered by his many good friends, and the students he taught during his thirty-five years as a teacher. We would like to thank all of the doctors, nurses, friends and family that helped us and Dad through this challenging time. Special thanks to Dr. Picton at the Royal Inland Hospital and respiratory therapist Lisa Lam at the Cross Cancer Institute.
