The Dovey Family of Kamloops, BC is saddened by the loss of Dr. Bruce Dovey, MD. Born: March 9, 1930 in Trail, BC. Bruce, beloved husband of Jeannette entered new life on Sunday, April 26, 2009 at 2:50 p.m. Dr. Dovey is survived by his loving wife, Jeannette, his sister Jean Ashworth and family (Fruitvale, BC) and his four children: Carol (Stephen) Bankes; Cathy (Robin) Toupin; Philip (Diane) Dovey and Hannah (Jonathan) McLeod. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Erin (Trevor), Crystal, Sarah, Michelle, Trevor (Kathryn), Samantha, Matthew, Ryan, Georgia and two great grandchildren: Jessica and Bradley and many other extended family members. Dr. Dovey was predeceased by his parents Bay and Margaret Dovey (Fruitvale, BC) and his son, Mark Dovey (Vancouver, BC). Dr. Dovey was deeply loved by his family, patients and friends, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A prayer service will be held on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. at OLPH Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Kamloops on: Saturday, May 2, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 635 Tranquille Road, Kamloops, BC V2B 3H5. Reception to follow at 12:30 p.m. at the North Shore Community Centre, 730 Cottonwood Avenue, Kamloops, BC. Interment for Dr. Dovey will be held in Armstrong on Sunday, May 3, 2009.
