FLOWERS, GEORGE HOWARD - The passing of George Howard Flowers of Fredericton, NB, husband of Jean (Phillips) Flowers occurred on Friday, August 24, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on September 29, 1942 in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late Guy and Christine (Reid) Flowers. George was a truck driver for Midland Transport. He was a member of Fredericton Fish and Game. George enjoyed fishing and hunting. In addition to his wife, George is survived by his daughters, Pearl Parsons (Terry) and Marsha Flowers (Mark MacIntyre); son, George Flowers (Angie) all of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Amanda, Andrew and Brianna; great grandchild, Abigail; sisters, Elsie and Mary Ann; brothers, Roy, Bud, Bob, Rod and Joe; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister, Ada; brother, Gerald "Jake".
There will be no visitation by request. A Memorial Service will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Monday, August 27, 2012 at 2 pm with Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. Interment will take place in Dorn Ridge Community Cemetery.
