LEBLANC, MARY GENEVIEVE "GENNY" - Mary Genevieve "Genny" LeBlanc, 76, of The Briarlea Special Care Home, where she resided for the past three years, passed away peacefully, with her loving family at her side, on Thursday August 23, 2012. Born in Glace Bay, NS, she was the daughter of the late John and Gladys (Atkinson) Quann. Genny was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and dear friend. When she first moved to Moncton, she worked at the Royal Bank. She then worked with Famous Players Theatres and became the first female manager in the Atlantic Provinces, managing the Skyway Drive-In, Highfield Square Cinema and the Paramount Theatres, retiring after 35 years service. She was also President of the Atlantic Motion Pictures Exhibitor's Association. Genny attended Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, where she was involved in many parish activities. She was a long time volunteer with the Karing Kitchen, loved to travel, was a crocodile wrangler in Florida and a medal winner at her only ski racing event. She managed to score a Hole-in-One, although not a regular golfer. She was a bowler and a fitness buff (who twice walked the Confederation Bridge) and was an accomplished Christmas shopper! She was known for her kind heart, her generosity and warm friendship to all. Genny will be sadly missed by her four children, George LeBlanc and his wife Kathy and their children, Jordan LeBlanc (Heather) and Brittany Clouthier (Jordan); Bernadette Donelle and her husband, Dave and their children, Ryan (Crystal) and Jennifer; Elaine Lenehan and her husband, Mark and their children, Shea and Saxon; Michael LeBlanc and his wife, Gail and their children Andrew and Emily; brothers Mickey Quann and Bill Quann; sisters Gladys Aucoin and Florence Denomme; as well as her dear friend Sandy Wereley, and several cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Henry LeBlanc (2007); infant son, Daniel Francis; brothers John, Francis and Robert and sisters Edith, Phoebe and Jane. Special thanks to the staff and residents of The Briarlea Special Care Home who provided exceptional and loving care to our mom.

Funeral Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, Fatima Drive, Riverview on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at 11:00 am, Rev. Phil Mulligan officiating. Reception in the Parish Hall following the Mass. Interment, Shediac Road Cemetery.
